Here is one version of the N.E.R.D. / Zune commercial which features the song “Spaz” from NERD’s album “Seeing Sounds,” which dropped yesterday.

***Note: (In case you were wondering, I have seen a different, shorter version of the commercial played that I actually like better than this one… if I can find it, I’ll post it up).

Do you think that the Zune commercial (that runs twice in every commercial break on MTV, VH1, and all the fuck elsewhere) has at least partially ruined the listening experience of “Spaz” on Seeing Sounds? And have you picked up the album yet?

I was discussing whether I think the commercial has ruined Spaz w/ some friends yesterday. Does Yung Drew think it has ruined the track listening? Nah, I think that the commercial has made me enjoy Spaz even more than usual…

I actually like the commercial (because it is a commercial with a dope beat that I can relate to (because I bought the album – and enjoy it…)) Spaz also happens to be my current favorite track from Seeing Sounds.

With all that said, I have seen the N*E*R*D / Zune commersh a SHIT TON, though… They really need to cut back on it’s play rate! The frequency that they’ve played the commercial has been absolutely ridiculous!!

In the above vid, is a high-quality recorded performance by N*E*R*D of the song “Anti-Matter.” N*E*R*D dropped their album “Seeing Sounds” yesterday and have been performing all over T.V. shows and across the U.S. This vid was recorded of NERD performing @ SXSW. Today, my bro happened to call me over and show me his computer screensaver. He is running a Mac computer and I still happen to be chillin with a windows… I definitely want to upgrade to a Mac when this baby dies because Mac’s are easier to use and have dope features. The release date of the newest (second generation) iPhone is quickly approaching. The newest 3G iPhone is supposedly going to become “twice as fast, and half the price.” I think that it is dope that technology like the iPhone is getting better and is still able to come down in price. The official release date for the iPhone is scheduled for July 11, 2008. Be on the lookout for a new 3G iPhone if you need somethin new.

I came home from playing table tennis last night and quickly turned on the N.B.A. playoffs game 3 to catch the ending. I was unfortunately only able to see the last 20 seconds or so in which the Celtics didn’t even try to come back. Being a Celtics fan, I know they can do better. After looking at the statistics and points, I saw that Ray Allen lead the team in scoring w/ 25 points and Garnett / Pierce each had less than 20 points…

I figured that the Los Angeles Lakers would snake out 1 or 2 games at home to make things interesting. Celtics got thrown off their game at the L.A. court. When Jack Nicholson is standing courtside, you know shit’s getting intense… Anyways, Kobe and his crew finally won one!

Hopefully the Celtics win the next 2 games and close out the series on the road. I think that they will at least snake one game out of the L.A. back-2-back-2-back three games. If Lakers win again, things will get very interesting. So hopefully, Pierce, Garnett, and Allen can get the job done on Thursday!

This morning, I decided to change things up and roll w/ a fresh, unopened box of Corn Pops cereal. And, damn was it ever good! Whenever I see a Corn Pops box, I always underestimate their taste. I ate the Indiana Jones exclusive edition Corn Pops and still have the potential to mail in for a dope prize (search light). Below is the style of the actual box that I ate from this morning – Indiana Jones is swangin:

“Big yellow taste, sweet puffed crunch.” – old Corn Pops box. Anyways, I pounded down about 2 large bowls of this ish and kept pourin smaller bowls to curb my appetite. I finished off breakfast by drinking the God-like nectar of the Corn Pops in my cereal milk. This was a breakfast for the ages, playas… If you ever get the chance to buy a new cereal, cop Corn Pops.

I’ll say it again: when you think about Corn Pops, they sound like an iight, average cereal – EVERYTIME. When you actually sit down and eat them, they taste amazing… like a refreshing change in the cereal industry. Anyways, let it be known that Corn Pops are the shit. Go cop some and eat a big ass bowl, right meow!

Here is Wayne freestyling on 106 & Park. The crowd went pretty ape shit… I gotta admit, Wayne can spit some pretty dope freestyles off the top of the dome. Wayne is forced to stop w/ his flow because the show was said to be “family friendly” and he didn’t want to say something inappropriate w/ out earmuffs on the young’ns.

I figured that I’d post this ish up since The Carter III just dropped. To be honest, most hip-hop heads don’t give the Carter III enuff credit. They dl’d the leak about 3 weeks ago and said it was straight dope the first week. At this point, they are giving it worse reviews than it should get. *COUGH* (hiphopdx) *COUGH* It deserves a solid 4 out of 5 – REAL TALK. The Carter III was definitely doper than The Carter II, which they gave 4 /5… a little bit of bullshit – especially since DX is my favorite hip-hop site…
