Boston Wins 97 To 91 Against The Lakers (An Epic Comeback)

Okay, tonight was definitely the game of the series and ultimately the turning point for the Boston Celtics. First of all, everyone I know (including myself – a Celtcs fan) thought that the Lakers were going to win this N.B.A. Finals game. In the first quarter, Lamar Odom scored just one point less than the entire Boston Celtics team! (Odom = 13 & Boston = 14). At that time, the Lakers had a huge lead. Before the halftime, the Lakers had a huge lead. All of the Lakers played a great first half and Boston sucked it up the first half.

Even in the third quarter, Boston was getting killed. They were down as much as 24 points at one point in the game! Things just weren’t looking good… Apparently, it was at this point when God said, “Ahh, you know what, I’m going to make the Celtics win tonight… I originally wanted the Lakers, but I want to see Garnett, Allen, and Pierce win a championship.”

I was extremely happy to see Boston win. It was the biggest recorded comeback in N.B.A. Finals History! Now Boston is up 3 games to 1! (Awesome.)

What factors allowed the Boston Celtics to win this game?

  • Staying calm (they didn’t get to wound up / desperate / depressed when they were down)
  • Playing great defense (holding Kobe to just 17 points all game!)
  • Doc Rivers (a phenomenal job coaching – great substitutions, decisions, and speeches to his players)
  • Ray Allen (played every single minute of the game)
  • Eddie House (hit some huge shots, played awesome)
  • James Posey (played extremely well, was clutch)
  • Paul Pierce (guarded Kobe, played a great game)
  • Having HEART: The Celtics were clearly inspired and dug down deep within to win this game

Congrats to the Boston Celtics! Have fun winning game 5 on Father’s Day (Sunday)!!

My emotions:

AAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYH.

Awesome.

Eff-you-see-kay-eye-en-gee AWESOME. History in the making baby.

“Baybay, baybay.” – (in a Notorious B.I.G. voice).

In case you didn’t understand: I’m glad Boston won.
