Here is Snoop Dogg’s latest music video featuring none other than Willie Nelson! Apparently “My Medicine” was shot in Amsterdam with both Snoop and Willie. Snoop going country? You better believe it… As his fourth single off of his latest album “Ego Trippin,” you be the judge as to how hot this song really is. Definitely branching off from the normal gangster rap that Snoop is notorious for… I think that it’s cool how Snoop was able to experiment with a new style and have some fun with it. The track has a pretty catchy tune.

Apparently, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III album is getting closer to making a platinum debut. Here is what Rolling Stone had to say about the current sales status of Wayne’s album:
The magic million is within sight of Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III.” The Cash Money/Universal album continues to lead Nielsen SoundScan’s Building chart, released today (June 13). Based on the new tally, the album could sell a million copies by the time SoundScan closes out its tracking week on Sunday night.
Unweighted sales of “Carter” through the close of business yesterday stood at 630,000. That’s the largest number the Friday Building chart has seen since it began in September.
The last album to rack up a similar number on a Friday Building chart was Kanye West’s “Graduation” (Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam), which posted a 600,000 figure the Friday of its release. “Graduation” would go on to shift 957,000 in its first full week.
The last album to sell a million copies in a week was 50 Cent’s “The Massacre” (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope), when it bowed with 1.1 million in March 2005.
Billboard estimates the nine merchants who report to Nielsen SoundScan’s Building chart — Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Circuit City, iTunes, Starbucks, Borders, Target, Anderson Merchandisers and Handleman Co. — comprise about 80% of all U.S. album sales.
Do I think that Tha Carter III will go platinum in one week? Yeah, I think it will do just over 1 million units by the time that the reports come out. If it doesn’t though, you know it’ll do “A Millie, A Millie” by the end of next week… It’s a very creative album that has a large appeal to the general population.

Yesterday was a sad day for newscasting. Long-time reporter on NBC news, Tim Russert died of a heart-attack at the age of 58. He died while he was at work at the NBC news bureau… Damn… Tim was one of the newscasters that I can honestly say: “I enjoyed watching.”
Some general info. about Tim Russert:
Tim Russert was the moderator of the series: “Meet The Press” and “Washington’s Bureau Chief.” He was the single longest host of the show “Meet The Press” to this date and wrote two #1 NY Times best-sellers called: Big Russ and The Wisdom Of Our Fathers. He had a son that just graduated from college and a wife.
Condolences to Tim Russert’s family and friends.
