Here is the Notorious B.I.G. casting video diary #4. They are looking for a guy to play the role of Christopher Wallace in an upcoming documentary / movie. It looks interesting and I think this series is definitely pretty cool… They should’ve put it on MTV for some more publicity, cuz this is an interesting show that has done plenty of research to attempt to “recreate” the life of B.I.G. COOL ish richea.
Here is Young Buck making an appearance for Bucki Naked radio. The interviewer labels Buck as the most controversial man in the hip-hop industry right now… I think that Buck can make good ish, but like any artist, he need to be fed good beats to sell nowadays. I’m glad dude moved on with Curtis, even though I think that the industry will be a little tougher on him… He needs to get with a good clique, period.
Wussup y’all? Well, one of my favorite artists Janelle Monae happened to drop two bonus tracks for her upcoming Metropolis Suite: The Chase album… and… “Mr. President” is phenomenal. I wasn’t feeling “Smile” as much, but all the tracks I’ve heard by this woman have been super-creative, and had great vocals. Janelle Monae is an incredible talent. I can’t wait until her album drops so I can go cop. For now, these tracks have been tiding me over.
The dude Freeway has been officially grindin. A lot of artists don’t know how to properly use the internet to build a buzz for themselves… Let’s just say the Freeway is a dude who is well aware of what he’s doin. This latest leaked freestyle entitled “Hip-Hop Lives” is a solid joint by the Philly-native emcee. All y’all should peep the jump.
Here is a new joint by Chip Tha Ripper called “Ask About Me.” Surprisingly, it’s pretty cool, and I’ve been bumpin it all week. Chip manages to recruit Kid Cudi for a nice guest appearance. I’m all in support of Kid Cudi and dude tears up this track. Not a banger right here, but definitely worth a few listens. The chorus is iight, beat is cool, and verses are cool. Give it a listen playboys.
Clifford Harris b.k.a. T.I. talks to Good Morning Philadelphia in order to serve his community and cut back on jail time. He encourages the younger generation to get off their asses and vote. He is also prepping the release of Paper Trail. Promotion. Serving the community. Cutting back on jail time. Good looks outta Cliff.
Sic Osyrus and Donny Goines go in over the track “Why Lord?” I’m really impressed with Gones’ grind lately all summer long. Sic Osyrus is fairly sic… Anyways, if you’re not familiar with either of these dukes, peep the video above n’ see whachoo think.
Ahh, here we have some Dj Premier. The beat IMO is absolutely dope, just a little too repetitive… The sounds are on point, but it could’ve been changed up at certain points. Anyways, this joint – “How We Rock” is off of Termanology’s latest project “Politics As Usual.” It features a cameo from southerner Bun B. A dope track richea [in my chea].
