Here we’ve got a little KarmaloopTV action for y’all with Dj Green Lantern interviewing Reggie b.k.a. Redman at Rock The Bells 2008. Redman has been quiet for awhile – but I’m looking forward to any of his upcoming work… If him n’ Method come back as a duo, shit will get beastly. Anyways, peep the interview above and see what Red’s been up to w/ his cah-rurr.
A friend sent over this clip of some Soviet guards dancing…it’s definitely pretty funny since Run DMC’s track “It’s Like That” is dubbed over it… I’m pretty sure they are not actually dancing to Run DMC, but it’d be dope if they were. Either way, hit up the vid. above for a fairly funny clip. Definitely drags on a bit, but deese vid. How’d ya like the U.S. Basketball stompin’ this morning?!?! Good looks USA, good looks.
Last year, Jay-Z took the #1 spot for Forbes.com estimated salaries. In second place last year was Curtis Jackson, better known as “50 Cent.” This year, 50 Cent climbed up to the number one spot, with Jay-Z holding strong at number two.
50 Cent was estimated to have made over $150 Million dollars in the past year. His deal with Coca Cola for selling Vitamin Water helped him make the money. Surprisingly enough, Jay-Z actually fell $18 million dollars behind 50 Cent. Diddy held strong at number three both years – coming up with around $35 million dollars. What’s interesting is that both 50 Cent, Jay-Z, and P. Diddy, are all from New York City, NY. So whoever says rappers from NY aren’t doing it big… needs to check the facts.
I was glad to see dudes like Chamillionaire, The Game, Common, T.I., and Swizz Beatz make the list. Anyways, peep the JUMP for the list of the top 14. Forbes.com has all the other info that you need. Click here to read more.. »
Here’s the latest by the homey Slim Thugga. I definitely enjoy hearing Slim Thug’s music… back when he was grindin’ with Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and Chamillionaire was dope. All these artists have gone their own directions, and its cool. Slim Thug managed to get a beat by Dre for this one and the dope Devin The Dude on the chorus. Take a listen, I think y’all will def. enjoy this one.
Here’s the latest from an artist going by the name of Young Peedee. Duke managed to hook up with Bad Azz B-O-O-S-I-E for this track “They Don’t Like That.” It’s definitely a down south type track with an energetic type beat. Though people will always complain about lyrical talent, you’ve gotta realize that most rappers are doin the best they know how. Not all music is meant to be “conscious hip-hop” – so just because it isn’t “conscious” doesn’t make it any less likeable. BOOSIE goes hard playboys. Hit up Peedee’s myspace for more info. (I linked his name).
I had this track last week sometime, but never got around to posting it due to laziness reasons. Anyways, here’s one of the latest joints by the dude Styles P straight outta the D-Block camp. Styles always goes hard and this is really no exception. The L.O.X. are prepping an album, Jadakiss is prepping his album… so I’m expecting them to drop sometime in late September or October. I threw in a bonus joint by The L.O.X. called “Cocaine Music.” Hit that ish up.
Here’s a new track by the dude J. Cole straight outta Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dude definitely has raw talent here with his lyrics and flow. He’s definitely true to himself with his raps, and is an up-n-comer in the hip-hop world. The track below that I’m posting is called “I Really Mean It.” I LOVE the beat selection here… If you want to know why…umm, well CLICK HERE.
